Our Training Building is attached to the back of our new home. Winter or summer it is kept heated or cooled to room temperature. Fans keep the air circulating so that it is always fresh.


The floor area is 40' by 40'. (1600 sq. ft.) This gives us ample room for hosting classes and room to assimilate an obedience ring. The floor has black rubber matting to give good footing for owner and dog. The training equipment can be left set up allowing for quick changes to the different types of training.


Our dogs and dogs in for 'Private Training' are housed in runs off to one side of the training area. The runs are 4' x 6' indoor and 4' x 12' outdoor. The indoor pens have ceramic tile on the floor and walls, making it very easy to keep looking clean and fresh. They also have a fold down bed to use if they choose not to sleep on the floor! During the milder weather, the dogs have the use of swinging plexi glass doors to let them in or out anytime during the day or night. Generally it does not take any more than a day to train the dogs to operate these by themselves. During the winter we control their access with 'guillotine type' sliding plexi glass doors. If it is very cold, we control how long they stay out. As well as keeping the heat in!


The outdoor runs are concrete and covered with white corrugated plastic roofing material. This keeps them bright, dry and protects the dogs from the weather. The dogs also have the use of fold down bunk beds inside & out. Although, I must admit that they seem to prefer the cool concrete to lie on in the summer months! These runs are washed with a pressure washer and squeegeed on a daily basis. The dogs take great delight in being just a few feet from our in-ground pool. Whether our guests on the patio are entertaining the dogs or the dogs are entertaining the guest's remains to be seen! Kids in the pool or watching classes on the inside; they have very little time to become bored! Yes, we leave the music on 24 hours per day.


The dogs are fed morning and night, at 8a.m. and 6 p.m. (approx.). We use a top quality name-brand dog food. Right now it is Purina Pro Plan (Chicken & Rice). They have access to water 24 hrs. per day. A local Veterinarian lives nearby and is on call at any time. We do require that all dogs be fully vaccinated before attending any of our classes.
